The requirements to be met by the candidate (detailed description of the knowledge, qualifications, skills, and professional experience): PhD degree in the field (discipline) of Food Technology and Nutrition or Biotechnology; documented scientific achievements demonstrated by at least five publications in international scientific journals (indexed in the Web of Science database) or publications of global scope, including at least one first-author article; documented completion of at least a 6-month research fellowship at a renowned scientific institution abroad; experience in animal and human cell culture, confirmed by at least three publications in journals listed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR); participation in research projects as a principal investigator or research team member; practical knowledge of flow cytometry, confirmed by at least one publication in a JCR-listed journal; practical knowledge of molecular biology and genetic engineering techniques (e.g., DNA/RNA and protein isolation, PCR, RT-PCR), as well as protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis techniques, Western blotting, and ELISA; practical knowledge of standard statistical analyses used for the interpretation of biological research results; certified English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2; fluent command of Polish, both spoken and written, necessary for conducting research, teaching, and organizational activities; experience in teaching students at both undergraduate (Bachelor's/Engineering) and graduate (Master's) levels; supervision of at least one Bachelor's/Engineering or Master's thesis will be considered an advantage; knowledge of techniques for working with immune system cells, including the isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), will be an additional asset. Working conditions: type of contract: e mployment contract ( full-time) since 01.10.2026; salary starting from PLN 7,045 gross per month; criteria for determining salary: job description, competencies, experience, responsibility – in accordance with objective and gender-neutral principles. Description of the expected responsibilities and duties: conducting scientific research in the disciplines of nutrition and food technology, chemical engineering, or related disciplines and participating in disseminating the results of these activities; didactic teaching for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses related to the disciplines of nutrition and food technology as well as chemical engineering, both in Polish and English ; participation in scientific projects implemented at the Institute and applying for grants financed by external institutions; traveling abroad as part of a European programmes, such as Erasmus+, or attending an international conferences; improvement of skills through participation in training courses; participation in organizational work for the benefit of the University and the Institute.
