Requirements The candidate is required to have: A doctoral degree in the humanities in Hispanic literature studies (or other analogical), obtained in the Republic of Poland or abroad. In the case of foreign candidates, the regulations concerning the recognition of education obtained abroad apply. Diplomas obtained in countries with which Poland has not concluded bilateral agreements on the recognition of foreign education as equivalent to education obtained in Poland are subject to nostrification. Fluency in Spanish and experience teaching the language as a foreign language at levels A1–C1, including at least three years of experience within academic-level teaching programs. Knowledge about the Latin American culture and literature. Proficiency in Polish enabling effective communication in academic teaching and within the university environment. Proficiency in English at a minimum level of B2. Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team. The selection committee will also take into account the following additional criteria related to the teaching profile of the Department of Iberian Studies and the needs of the Institute of Romance Studies: (1) research interests related to Latin American culture and literature; (2) professional experience in translation and text editing. Responsibilities Conducting teaching activities (practical Spanish language instruction at all levels and Latin American culture and literature) and performing administrative tasks related to the delivery and organization of the teaching process, within the scope and workload assigned to the position of assistant professor, in accordance with the current internal regulations of the University of Wrocław. Performing other tasks and duties related to the delivery and organization of the teaching process as assigned by the Director of the Institute of Romance Studies or the Head of the Department, in particular: serving as an academic advisor for student groups, acting as secretary of the admissions committee, participating in the organization of examinations, etc. Outreach and public engagement activities, including participation in and organization of various events promoting the university.
