Gdańsk, dnia 10.07. 2026 Case No.: Q100.120.1785.2026 Faculty of Management JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdansk announces competition for the vacancy of the position of Adjunct (Lecturer) in the Department of Econometrics The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in the Act of 20 July 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668), and in the Statutes of the University of Gdańsk of 13 June 2019, for whom employment at the University of Gdańsk will be the primary place of work. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING OFFERS: 30.08.2026 r. EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position, fixed-term employment contract. INTERVIEW: will take place within 7 days of your application being submitted. The time and format of the interview (in-person or remote) will be agreed with the candidate individually. DATE OF COMPETITION RESULTS: within 14 days of the deadline for submitting offers. THE REQUIREMENTS: 1) A PhD in economics, management, or mathematics. 2) Experience in teaching at the academic level: in economics and/or financial markets, econometrics, forecasting, applied mathematics, data analysis, operations research, quantitative methods in economics and management. 3) Documented original educational/scientific achievements in peer-reviewed journals, in which the candidate is the author or co-author. 4) Knowledge of Polish and English at a level sufficient to conduct classes in these languages. Additional advantages for candidates include: 5) Experience in implementing educational and research grants as a contractor or manager, or in other development or implementation projects. 6) Knowledge of operating and/or programming in tools such as R, Python, STATA, and Gretl. 7) Documented training in data science and/or teaching skills development.
