Postdoctoral Researcher in Microwave Instrumentation The successful candidate will contribute to the following activities: • Design and architecture of a microwave instrument in compliance with ESA technical requirements and specifications. • Selection and characterization of materials. • Development and operation of experimental test benches under high-vacuum conditions. • Definition of test protocols, including detailed test procedures and acceptance criteria for environmental qualification campaigns. • Electromagnetic modelling and simulation of resonant microwave structures to support experimental investigations. • Preparation of technical documentation, including technical notes, test reports, and project deliverables. • Interaction with consortium partners (AGH University of Krakow and ESA industrial prime) and participation in technical meetings with ESA. The project is carried out within an international consortium bringing together ICB (project coordinator), AGH University of Krakow, and ESA industrial Prime. The research focuses on the development and validation of an innovative microwave instrumentation system for monitoring experimental conditions in the space environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, integration, and validation of advanced instrumentation solutions in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners, with the objective of increasing the technology readiness level towards operational applications.
