Project Manager - DynamiCity Project REF. 26-121_MS_PJ About the research group The Nutrition and Cancer Research Group (UNAC) is part of The Cancer Epidemiology Research Programme (PREC) at ICO and The Epidemiology, Public Health, Cancer Prevention and Palliative Care Research Programme at the IDIBELL. The group comprises 18 members, including senior investigators, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, technical staff and clinical collaborators. The group's activity is structured into four highly interconnected domains that cover the entire cancer continuum, from primary prevention to long-term prognosis: 1. Cancer Prevention and Lifestyle Epidemiology, focusing on diet, bioactive compounds, physical activity, body composition and exposure assessment in large prospective cohorts, including EPIC; 2. Molecular and Hormonal Determinants of Cancer, integrating molecular epidemiology, endocrine and inflammatory pathways, and objective nutritional biomarkers — including lipid metabolism biomarkers — to elucidate mechanisms linking lifestyle and carcinogenesis; 3. Cancer Prognosis and Survivorship, addressing the role of lifestyle, diet, physical activity and body composition in recurrence, disease progression and quality of life, including intervention-based research; 4. Methodological Innovation, Participatory and Implementation Research, strengthening advanced epidemiological methodologies and translation of evidence into prevention and public health strategies. About the role IDIBELL is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to coordinate the participation of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) in the Horizon Europe project DynamiCity (“Empowering walking, cycling and micro-mobility for cancer prevention and cleaner, healthier and better-connected cities”). The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of research activities focused on active mobility, physical activity and cancer prevention, while coordinating ICO’s scientific and operational activities within an international consortium. Key responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operational management of the work packages and tasks assigned to ICO/IDIBELL, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are achieved on time. Act as the primary liaison between the local research team and the international project consortium, ensuring effective communication and coordination. Monitor project progress and indicators, and contribute to the preparation of administrative and financial documentation for EU project reviews. Coordinate the implementation of study procedures, including participant recruitment, data collection, quality assurance and data management across local study sites. Contribute to the dissemination of project results through the preparation of scientific manuscripts, abstracts and presentations for international conferences. Contribute to the development of the Exercise and Cancer research line within the Nutrition and Cancer Unit (UNAC), fostering collaboration with clinicians, researchers and international partners. Engage with healthcare professionals, community organisations and other relevant stakeholders to support the implementation and dissemination of project activities. Contribute to activities aimed at maximising the scientific, clinical and societal impact of the project outcomes. Job requirements Professional experience Experience in the design, implementation or evaluation of non-pharmacological intervention studies, preferably including physical activity, exercise, active mobility or other lifestyle interventions.
