The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Forest, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate. Extent of employment: 30 hours per week Duration of employment: from 31st of August 2026, limited to 30th of August 2027 Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least: € 2.832,10 (payable 14 times per year) Responsibilities: Contribution and independent work in forest policy research, combined with innovation research and/or societal issues in the forest sector Contributions to third party projects Contribution to teaching at the institute in a supporting role and/or independently Support of administrative tasks of the institute in research and teaching Work on a dissertation in the scientific field of the institute is desired Required skills and qualifications: Diploma degree in forest sciences, political sciences, environmental or bioresource managament or other equivalent university degree Good knowledge of German and English Proficienty in MS Office applications lnterest in or ongoing work on a dissertation Teamwork and communication skills Good didactic skills Desirable skills and qualifications: lnterest and experience in national and international research consortia Readiness to engage in research projects of the institute Proof of interest in scientific work and communication, teaching, publications and presentations Experience and interest in international scientific networking Applications can be submitted until: 20th of July 2026 University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna seeks to increase the number of its female faculty and staff members.
