U. 2024.1571 as amended). The candidate should have a master's degree in Special pedagogy or a related specialization within the field of special education. An additional asset would be postgraduate qualifications in social prevention and resocialization, broadening the candidate's competencies in educational and preventive work, as well as in supporting individuals at risk of social maladjustment or those who are socially maladjusted The candidate is required to have theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in conducting classes in the field of: education, therapy, rehabilitation, and developmental support of children and youth with intellectual disabilities and those experiencing difficulties in social functioning. In addition, the candidate will be required to have practical experience working with children and youth with special educational needs, including conducting rehabilitation activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and prevention/educational work related to social maladjustment. This experience should have been gained in educational, therapeutic, or care-and-education facilities, or in other institutions supporting the development, education, and rehabilitation of individuals with special needs. Also essential is a practical understanding of how to design original course curricula, develop syllabi, and formulate and assign learning outcomes in accordance with applicable educational standards and higher education requirements. The ability to design educational content that meets current academic requirements, as well as the needs of the labor market and modern education, is essential. Candidates are also expected to possess strong interpersonal skills necessary for the role of an academic teacher, including effective communication, teamwork, the ability to organize teaching activities, and the capacity to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. A sense of responsibility, commitment to fulfilling assigned teaching and organizational duties, and a high level of personal conduct consistent with academic standards are also important. Experience in research, organizational work, or projects related to the field of special education would be an additional asset.
