The School of Cultural and Social Sciences at Osnabrück University seeks to appoint a professor (m/f/d) at the Institute of Geography (IfG) – subject to funding being granted – at the earliest possible date: Forced Migration and Space (Grade W2) Responsibilities: The professorship is intended to pursue a reflexive, fundamental, and interdisciplinary research programme focused on spatial aspects of forced migration. It aims to strengthen forced migration studies at Osnabrück University and is intended to make a decisive contribution to the further development and networking of forced migration studies in Germany and within the international research community. The professorship will cooperate closely with the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS). In particular, the professorship is expected to participate in the DFG Collaborative Research Centre 1604 “Production of Migration”, through an innovative subproject on the “production of forced migration” as well as through research-related collaborations with other subprojects. In terms of teaching, the professorship is expected to contribute to the Geography degree programmes (2-subject Bachelor’s, B.Sc., M.Sc.) as well as the Master’s programme “International Migration and Intercultural Relations” (IMIB) and the international Master’s programme “European Master in Migration Studies” (EuMIGS).
