Descrizione
Istanbul Okan University is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle and HIL Simulation Engineer to contribute to advanced R&D projects in connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV/AV) technologies at the Transportation Technologies and Intelligent Systems Application and Research Centre (TTIS), using the OPINA infrastructure. The successful candidate will work especially on a HORIZON EUROPE funded project Acceptremote, on the verification, validation, virtual development and simulation-based testing of autonomous driving and ADAS functions. The role requires hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, vehicle dynamics simulation, scenario-based testing and data replay methodologies for autonomous vehicle development. The position offers the opportunity to work within national and international research projects, industry-academia collaborations and advanced simulation and testing infrastructures for next-generation connected, automated and software-defined mobility systems. Main Responsibilities Operate and support HIL, SIL and MIL test environments for autonomous driving and ADAS functions. Develop, configure and execute test scenarios using dSPACE HIL systems, including ASM, SCALEXIO and related toolchains. Model vehicle, traffic and environmental scenarios using IPG Automotive TruckMaker. Integrate sensor models, including camera, radar and LiDAR, as well as actuator models into the simulation environment. Support the verification and validation of autonomous driving software through ODD-based tests, scenario-based testing and edge-case analysis. Use data collected from autonomous vehicle sensors for data replay on dSPACE HIL systems and prepare realistic test scenarios. Develop and maintain test automation, regression testing procedures and performance analysis workflows. Provide technical support to ISO 26262, SOTIF and related functional safety and safety validation processes. Prepare technical documentation, test reports, validation evidence and project deliverables. Requirements Education BSc or MSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Professional Experience and Technical Skills Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in autonomous vehicles, ADAS, vehicle control systems, vehicle simulation or related R&D fields. Hands-on working experience with dSPACE HIL systems and/or IPG Automotive TruckMaker. Good understanding of vehicle dynamics, control systems and real-time simulation principles. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++ and/or Python. Working knowledge of HIL/SIL/MIL testing, test automation, regression testing and simulation-based validation. Basic knowledge of sensor fusion, environment perception or decision-making algorithms is desirable. Ability to analyse complex technical problems, document results clearly and prepare structured technical reports. • Experience with data logging, data replay, sensor datasets and scenario extraction from real-world driving data Good command of technical English, both written and spoken. Preferred / Additional Qualifications Experience in autonomous vehicle verification and validation methodologies. Experience with scenario-based testing, digital twins, cloud-based simulation or large-scale simulation campaigns. Experience in Horizon Europe, TÜBİTAK or similar national/international R&D projects. Experience in integrating simulation environments with proving grounds, pilot sites or real vehicle test data. Familiarity with ISO 26262, ISO 21448 / SOTIF, ODD analysis, functional safety concepts or safety assurance cases. Annuncio in inglese. Fonte: Euraxess (Commissione europea).
