Descrizione
We are seeking a high-level postdoctoral researcher who is able to fully commit to the project, driven by a thirst for learning, intellectual independence, strong motivation, and possessing solid expertise in the field of experimental methods and diagnostic tools. The following skills are essential: • Recent PhD (or in the final defense stage) in fluid mechanics, flow physics, process engineering, or a related field. • Strong experience in experimental diagnostics (PIV, flow visualizations, imaging techniques). • Strong experience in electrohydrodynamics. • Good command of data analysis and associated modeling. • Interest in industrial applications and technology transfer. • Ability to work in an international team and to communicate clearly (reports, meetings, presentations). • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken. • Ability to work in a team within the framework of multidisciplinary projects. Candidates must hold a PhD in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering and provide evidence of proven research skills, attested by at least one publication as first author related to the project's theme or activities. A very positive attitude toward teamwork is also expected. The first step consists of designing and sizing the experimental setup. This step will be carried out jointly with the two senior researchers at the CORIA laboratory. In parallel with the experimental development, we will focus on adapting numerical methods (notably for the proper implementation of the electric field and the optimization of the system design) in order to validate the data through precise measurements, with and without an electric field (velocity, interface topology, etc.). We will design and build a completely new device comprising fluidic lines, a reservoir, heating systems, an electrostatic field generator, etc. A fully "home-built" experiment, with optical access in the region of interest, will ensure well-defined boundary conditions as well as specific measurements allowing for precise quantification. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the following activities: • Supervision of a PhD student within the team, • Publication of at least one individual scientific article focusing on the analysis of the data collected during the project. The data obtained should ultimately enable the development of a new application-oriented model. The CORIA laboratory is a joint research unit involving CNRS – INSA Rouen Normandie – University of Rouen, internationally recognized in the fields of fluid mechanics, energy, and combustion. Engineers with strong expertise in the field will also be considered. We are seeking a candidate with solid expertise in developing and conducting multiphase experiemntaion for the position with the very good knowledge on the electrohydrodynamics. Engineers with strong expertise in this field will also be considered. Good communication skills are also a requirement. Good communication skills are also a prerequisite. Terms • Fixed-term postdoctoral contract. • International and interdisciplinary research environment. • Close collaboration with academic and industrial partners. Interested applicants are invited to submit a CV and a cover letter, along with two letters of recommendation.
