YOUR TASKS TRASlab (Technology for a Resource Agile Society) focuses on sustainable production and treatment processes. In the framework of a new microbial protein production project in collaboration with industrial partners we are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to assist in the laboratory based development of microbial protein production processes, notably focusing on optimizing growth conditions and improving overall process sustainability. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You hold a thesis-based doctorate in bio-engineering, biotechnology or equivalent specialties. You are interested in microbial biotechnology and research, have the ambition to operate bioreactors at laboratory scale and work closely together with industry You are fluent in English, which is essential in the international context, and can report clearly in English You are willing to work together internationally WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 3 months, to be extended with another 10 months pending funding decisions. Your contract will start on 1/09/2026 at the earliest. Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4. Click here for more information about our salary scales .
