Procedure Reference: IT137-26 301 I - Legal admission requirements I.I - Grant Recipients: Master’s degree holders, in the scientific area of Civil Engineering, Urban Engineering or similar areas, enrolled in a doctoral degree in the scientific area of Civil Engineering. I.II Ineligible candidates: Candidates who have already benefited from two research grant contracts with UC in the condition of being enrolled in a doctoral degree, regardless of whether each contract has reached the maximum legally permitted duration. II - Grant location: Department of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra III- Scientific supervision/coordination of the grant: Paulo Jorge Rodrigues Amado Mendes IV - Work Plan / Goals to be achieved: This scholarship enables the acquisition of advanced training in the field of application of acoustic metamaterials, and the scholarship holder is expected to support the development of tasks within the METAPORCONCRETE project, namely: - studies for defining acoustic metamaterial solutions, including porous materials (porous concrete); - support in testing tools and numerical models for predicting the performance of acoustic metamaterials; - development of parametric studies, analysis and optimization of solutions based on acoustic metamaterials; - participation in the evaluation of the application of the developed concept, namely through the simulation of real-case scenarios using room acoustics tools; - collaboration in the experimental validation of prototypes. V - Initial grant duration: 6 months V.I - Renewal Possibility: Possibily renewable VI - Funding and financial conditions of the grant VI.I - Monthly grant amount (paid by bank transfer at the end of each month): 1359,64€ VI.II - Other financial components of the grant: N.A.
