Job description Do you have a background within mechatronics, biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering and research interests in medical robotics and human in the loop control - this could be a position for you. We are looking for an ambitious, collaborative, and structured person to join our team. You will lead research efforts in human-in-the-loop control for medical robotics in the context of cardiovascular technologies. The goal is to innovate control systems for optimized interaction of soft cardiovascular pumps and wearable biofeedback systems with the human body. You will have the opportunity to critically assess the safety of the proposed control system for real-world application utilizing hybrid mock circulation. The unique systems enable real-time testing in interaction with the human cardiovascular system dynamics across various patient groups. You are expected to publish in scientific journals in an independent way and to support the coordination of the research group and supervision of students. As a PostDoc, you will be an integral part of the growing Intelligent Heart Technology Lab, whose mission is to advance cardiovascular health technologies, at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems. Qualifications Requirements A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made. Preferred qualifications A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline You have research expertise in mechatronics, robotics, and/or control.
