The main duties and tasks to be carried out within the research project/s will be, among others: The successful candidate will join the research group led by Dr. Nuria Ferrándiz at the Cancer Research Center (CIC-IBMCC, CSIC–University of Salamanca), where they will undertake a PhD project investigating the role of endomembranes in cancer and therapy resistance. The project combines advanced cell biology, molecular biology and imaging approaches using clinically relevant cancer models to better understand disease mechanisms and identify new therapeutic opportunities. Main responsibilities: 1. Conduct an original research project leading to the completion of a PhD thesis focused on lipid metabolism, membrane biology and cancer. 2. Contribute to research projects investigating the role of lipid metabolism and membrane biology in cancer progression and therapeutic response. 3. Perform experiments using mammalian cell culture and advanced three-dimensional cancer models. 4. Apply molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques to investigate mechanisms underlying cancer cell behaviour. 5. Participate in advanced fluorescence microscopy and quantitative image analysis. 6. Analyse and interpret experimental data and contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, presentations and publications. 7.
