Descrizione
Sintesi in italiano (traduzione automatica)

Position for Post Doctoral Researcher (effective engagement 18 person-months over project duration) The Post-Doc will take charge of the wet-chemical laboratory work, specifically focusing on the reproducible synthesis of magnetic spinel ferrites and core–shell nanostructures for research in Nanomagnetism and Magnetic Nanomaterials. The core of this role involves the fine-tuning of reaction parameters (using solvothermal, thermal decomposition methods and other methods) to achieve a fine control over particle size and morphology. Beyond synthesis, the researcher will be responsible for the surface engineering of these materials, applying bio-compatible coatings such as silica or calcium phosphate to ensure stability in physiological environments. A significant part of the work will involve the operation of the institute’s characterization infrastructure. The Post-Doc will take part in the general physicochemical and advanced magnetic characterisation under co-supervision of project leader and expert. Moreover, the position entails setting up and running the newly acquired magnetic hyperthermia-based system, chemical synthesis of nanoparticles and their surface analysis by TPD measurements. The performed work will be part of the efforts within the European ERMES project (Information Transfer Between Medical Doctors and Implanted Medical Devices via Artificial Molecular Communication, https://ermes-project.eu ). Applicants must have at least 3 years of equivalent post-graduate research experience (matching R1 profile, see definition below) or hold a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physical Chemistry, or a related discipline (matching R2 profile, see definition below) in one of these fields. Previous post-doctoral experience is desirable but not mandatory. Valuable skills will be hands-on proficiency in inorganic nanoparticle synthesis and standard characterization techniques. While deep expertise in theoretical magnetism is not required, a solid working knowledge of VSM and thermal analysis methods (TGA, DSC, TPD) is essential. The candidate must be capable of working autonomously in an international environment, maintaining rigorous laboratory standards and records. Also, drafting several scientific publications of high-quality during engagement is mandatory. Proficiency in scientific English (written and spoken) is obligatory as is a publication record featuring in relevant international journals. Please also note the following: ► Details of the salary/financial compensation and other relevant information will be communicated during interview. ► Expected time for the interviews: August 24-28, 2026 (via Zoom or Google Meet platforms) ► If selected/engaged, the applicant is obliged to undertake actions to arrange legal status in the Republic of Serbia Expected commencement: 1st of October 2026 Еnd of engagement: 31st of March 2028 Effective engagement in person-months (PM): 18 PM Applications should contain: 1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a complete overview of the academic and professional trajectory, including education, employment, and key skills. 2. Cover Letter showing your motivation for the position and compatibility with the proposed research 3. Research vision by outlining - past work and main research ideas of it - details of a specific task you would like to pursue during engagement 4. Reference Letters (at least 3, from PhD supervisors or other peers with their emails) 5. Publication List (key publications matching the requirements of the position should be listed first) 6. Document evidencing a level of competence and experience (EU classification as R1 or R2, see definition below) Note: The applicant should provide the requested documents via permanent link to cloud storage (Do not provide requested documents as the email attachment!). Send your applications to Prof. Davide Peddis and Dr Sonja Jovanović (e-mail: davide.peddis@unige.it ; sonja.jovanovic@vin.bg.ac.rs ) DEFINITION ABOUT LEVEL OF COMPETENCE A
