The PhD candidate will contribute to a fundamental research project in cognitive neuroscience aimed at improving our understanding of the neural mechanisms involved in human decision-making during controlled group experimental tasks. The candidate will participate in the design, implementation, and analysis of behavioral experiments combined with non-invasive neuroimaging measurements, with the objective of investigating the relationship between brain activity and behavior under controlled experimental conditions. The PhD candidate will be responsible for the following activities: • Preparing and implementing experimental protocols; • Recruiting and testing healthy adult volunteers; • Conducting behavioral experiments in a laboratory environment; • Operating a functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) system, a fully non-invasive neuroimaging technique; • Preprocessing and analyzing behavioral and neurophysiological data; • Performing statistical analyses of experimental results; • Participating in laboratory meetings and scientific discussions; • Contributing to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations at academic conferences. The PhD project will be carried out at the Institut des Sciences Cognitives Marc Jeannerod (CNRS – Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France), within a research team specializing in cognitive neuroscience. The candidate will work in an international academic environment including researchers, engineers, and graduate students. Experimental work will be conducted within the laboratory's research facilities using standard equipment dedicated to human cognitive neuroscience research.
