JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT RECTOR OF THE IGNACY ŁUKASIEWICZ RZESZÓW UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY announces a competition for the position of assistant (F/M) in the group of employees: research and teaching staff at the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics NAME OF THE UNIVERSITY: Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology CITY: Rzeszów FIELD OF SCIENCE: engineering and technical sciences SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE: mechanical engineering NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1 TYPE OF CONTRACT: fixed-term WORKING TIME: full-time DATE OF ANNOUNCEMENT: 31.07.2026 APPLICATION DEADLINE: 04.09.2026 COMPETITION RESOLUTION DATE: 21.09.2026 EXPECTED EMPLOYMENT DATE: 01.10.2026 REMUNERATION: basic salary : PLN 6,215/month, length-of-service allowance (payable at 1% of the basic salary for each year of employment. The allowance is paid on a monthly basis, starting from the fourth year of employment, provided that its amount may not exceed 20% of the basic salary) , jubilee award for long-term service , additional annual remuneration (the so-called "13th salary") , rector's award (employees may receive this award for professional achievements, in an amount determined by the Rector), the employee and other eligible persons are entitled to benefits from the company social benefits fund (depending on income per family member, in accordance with the Company Social Benefits Fund Regulations and the current Fund plan, i.e. benefits for the employee: individual holiday/hiking trips, an autumn-winter benefit, and benefits for the employee's children: individual children's holidays, a back-to-school allowance for children aged 1 to 18) . DESCRIPTION (topics, expectations, remarks): involvement in conducting scientific research and teaching activities covering data analytics as well as the analysis and improvement of industrial processes, knowledge of issues related to computer science as well as production management and engineering, ability to solve engineering problems and analyze data in MS Office and Matlab, knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and the latest Microsoft technologies supporting enterprise management, teaching experience is not required, but will be regarded as a valuable asset, the candidate should demonstrate scientific initiative, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, abstract and critical thinking skills, as well as creativity. Candidates for the above-mentioned position should: hold a master's degree in engineering in the field of engineering and technical sciences, in the discipline of mechanical engineering meet the requirements set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and in the Statute of the Rzeszów University of Technology of 27 June 2019 (consolidated text as of 20 March 2025), present their own scientific publication or research results with publication potential, knowledge of the Polish language at the native language, knowledge of the English language at the good level.
