Open Competition for the Position of Assistant (Research and Teaching) in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Application deadline: 7 August 2026 The Rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences announces an open competition for the position of Assistant (all genders welcome) in the group of research and teaching staff in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Division of Toxicology. Job Description: The successful candidate will be expected to: conduct research activities in the field of Veterinary Sciences, within the discipline of Veterinary Medicine, including securing external funding for research projects; prepare and deliver teaching in the fields of environmental protection and veterinary toxicology in both Polish and English; disseminate research findings through publications in scientific journals indexed in the Scopus and/or Web of Science databases; participate in national and international scientific conferences and symposia; participate in workshops and training courses aimed at enhancing professional competencies; contribute to organisational and administrative activities within the Department and the University; undertake other duties assigned by the head of the organisational unit in accordance with the profile and mission of the Department and the University. Requirements for the candidate: The candidate: holds at least a Master's degree in Biotechnology, preferably with a specialisation in Microbiology; has documented experience in microbiological techniques; possesses basic knowledge of liquid chromatography; possesses basic knowledge of environmental protection and environmental sciences; has proficiency in spoken and written Polish; has English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); fulfils the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, namely: enjoys full public rights; has full legal capacity; has not been convicted by a final court judgment for an intentional criminal offence or an intentional fiscal offence; has not been subject to the disciplinary penalty of dismissal from employment at a higher education institution with a ban on employment in higher education institutions for a period of 6 months to 5 years, nor deprivation of the right to work as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.
