UNIVERSITY OF SPLIT FACULTY OF SCIENCE invites applications for JOB VACANCY for the appointment of one faculty member to a scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor, in the scientific area of Technical Sciences, scientific field of Computer Science, on a permanent basis. Candidates applying for the position must, in addition to the requirements specified in this call, meet the general requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/2022) and the requirements prescribed by the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria (Official Gazette No. 42/2026) . Candidates are required to submit, together with their signed application: a curriculum vitae, proof of citizenship; foreign nationals are also required to submit proof of proficiency in the Croatian language (C2 – advanced level); a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification, for candidates who obtained their qualification abroad; proof of the relevant academic degree obtained; a bibliography containing information on their scientific, teaching and professional activities; publications; and other evidence demonstrating fulfilment of the requirements. Candidates invoking the right of priority in employment pursuant to special regulations must explicitly state this right in their application. Such candidates shall have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions as established by the call, and provided that their application is duly completed and submitted within the prescribed deadline. Candidates invoking the right of priority in employment pursuant to Articles 102 and 103 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Their Family Members (Official Gazette Nos. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) must, in addition to evidence of fulfilment of the required conditions, submit all documents required under Article 103, paragraph 1. By submitting an application, candidates expressly consent to the Faculty of Science, University of Split , as the data controller, collecting, using and further processing their personal data for the purpose of conducting the recruitment procedure, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation. Candidates who meet the formal requirements of the call may be subject to an assessment of the knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of the duties of the position, by means of testing and/or an interview. All information regarding the assessment will be published on the official website of the Faculty of Science, University of Split Faculty of Science, University of Split at least five days prior to the assessment. Candidates who fail to attend the assessment shall be deemed to have withdrawn their application. Candidates will be notified of the place and time of the assessment by email sent to the email address provided in their application. The call is open to candidates of all genders on equal terms. Applications shall be submitted electronically within 30 days from the date of publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia (Narodne novine) to the following email address: natjecaj-posao@pmfst.hr . An application shall be considered complete if it contains all required attachments and is duly signed by the applicant. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants with incomplete applications will not be invited to supplement their applications. Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the recruitment procedure within the statutory deadline.
