SOL4R - Investigação Aplicada em Energia Solar para a Transição Energética Scholarship for master’s degree 03 of July of 2026 A call for applications is open for a Master's level Research Grant within the scope of AGROVOLTEP project, reference 0170_AGROVOLTEP_4_E, funded by the European Union through the Interreg POCTEP program (5 PM); the AgroSOL project, reference S2/2.4/F0226, funded by the European Union through the Interreg Sudoe program (7 PM) and AGRIPV-NEXUS funded by the European Union through the PRIMA project, under the following conditions: Scientific area : Agricultural and Environmental Sciences or Architecture and Urban Planning Admission requirements : - A Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or in fields related to Urban Planning and Spatial Planning. This is a mandatory requirement. - Familiar with multifunctional landscape systems that encompass agricultural production and environmental protection, ecosystem services and their assessment. - Experience in the design, preparation, monitoring and evaluation of landscape areas within experimental systems; - Preferably with prior knowledge or experience in research projects related to agrivoltaics; - Ability to analyse data and produce scientific documents. - Good command of English and Portuguese, these will be the languages ​​of work. According to FCT Research Grant Regulations No. 950/2019 of December 16, 2019, articles 3 and 6, candidates for Research Grants must, as a condition for the grant's award, be effectively enrolled in study cycles leading to academic degrees or in non-degree-granting courses. Non-degree-granting courses correspond to the courses foreseen in point e) of paragraph 3 of article 4 of Decree-Law No. 74/2006 of March 24 and must be developed in a higher education institution in association with at least one R&D unit, including the course plan in one or more research areas of the unit. Work plan: The work plan foreseen for the scholarship is related to the activities of the NEXUS, AGROVOLTEP, and AgroSOL projects in the area of ​​development and technological demonstration of dual land use systems - agrivoltaics, and includes: - Analysis of the legal framework for agrivoltaic applications. - Development of a methodological approach for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of territorial and landscape impacts. - Technical support in R&D tasks included in the projects. - Analysis and production of technical documentation related to agrivoltaics, to be developed within the scope of the projects. - Support in the production of project reports and publication of scientific results. - Support in the R&D tasks, dissemination and knowledge transfer activities that are ongoing at SOL4R / Renewable Energies Chair.
