Your role The successful candidate is expected to assume a role in experimental quantum communications and networking, in accordance with ongoing European initiatives and projects. The candidate will play a key role in the design, implementation, and characterization of quantum communication systems, with particular emphasis on optical communications, free-space optical FSO links, the realization of quantum key distribution QKD protocols, and their integration into broader optical and networked infrastructures. Day-to-day activities will span optical bench work, the development and control of experimental setups, data acquisition and analysis, and the dissemination of results through peer-reviewed publications. The candidate will pursue a doctoral degree under the supervision of senior researchers within the group.
