Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher Level 1 to lead a pilot-scale research project focused on the valorisation of cheese whey permeate. The project aims to demonstrate a two-stage process using sequential EGSB reactors (20 L and 100 L) to recover volatile fatty acids (VFAs) and renewable biogas. The successful candidate will manage the transition from fermentative granulation to methanogenic polishing, investigating the critical role of calcium levels on granule stability and reactor performance [Source: WP2, WP3]. This role involves high-level analytical characterisation, industry-facing dissemination, and the closing of complex mass and energy balances. Fixed Salary: €47,273 per annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
