The project "Photovoltaic fiber-optic power transmission with record conversion efficiency and data transmission speed" proposes disruptive solutions for developing secure systems for the remote transmission of power (remote powering) and data via optical fiber, achieving record-breaking conversion efficiencies and transmission speeds. These solutions address challenges in harsh environments across sectors such as 5G/6G communications, power grids, avionics, and industry. The project focuses on the design and fabrication of photovoltaic converters boasting the world's highest photovoltaic efficiency (>70%)—as part of unique remote-powering systems integrated into analog radio-over-fiber links that achieve record-breaking power and data transmission performance (300 W·Gbps·km) over a single multi-core fiber. This offer is related to developing the power over fiber solutions for sensing and communication applications.
