A call for applications is open for 3 (three) Research Grants for 3 Postdoctoral Researchers, within the scope of the G[ai]A Project - Action and Logic for Adaptable Futures - refª M2030-FEDER-03051300 (12 months), under the following conditions: I. Scientific Area: • Reference A: Computer and Electrical Engineering (1 vacancy); • Reference B: Design, Sports Science, Health, Psychology or other related scientific areas (2 vacancies). II. Admission Requirements: a) General Requirements (i) Holder of a doctoral degree, provided that the candidate's academic and scientific career demonstrates relevant specialization for the execution of the work plan; (ii) The doctoral degree must have been obtained within the three years prior to the date of submission of the application; (iii) The postdoctoral research is carried out at a host institution different from the institution where the research work that led to the awarding of the doctoral degree was developed; (iv) The research activities do not require postdoctoral experience; (v) ​​The research activities have a development and execution period equal to or less than three years; (vi) The fellow does not exceed, with the signing of the fellowship contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of three years in this type of fellowship, whether consecutive or intermittent. III. Work Plan: The fellow will join the research team of the G[ai]A-ALFA project — Action and Logic for Adaptable Futures, developing advanced activities in scientific research, technical-scientific coordination, technological development, and experimental validation in the areas of applied Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, Digital Health, Design, Sustainability, and Human-Computer Interaction, in alignment with the scientific and strategic objectives of the project. The activities to be developed fall within the following main scientific lines: • A1 — Innovation in Digital Twins for Sustainable Energy Systems: coordination and development of activities associated with digital twins, intelligent monitoring systems, predictive models, and decision support platforms applied to the energy transition, energy communities, and sustainable urban and port infrastructures; • A2 — Innovation in Health and Well-being for Resilience: development and supervision of digital solutions for health monitoring, active aging, assistive technologies, serious games, intelligent recommendation systems, and tools to support the promotion of health and well-being; • A3 — Innovation in Interaction for Civic Readiness: coordination of participatory methodologies, interactive experiences, digital tools, and AI solutions geared towards digital literacy, civic engagement, sustainability, and community readiness; • A4 — Ethical and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence: development and integration of ethical AI methodologies, algorithmic transparency, explainable AI, bias mitigation, computational energy efficiency, and ethical and sustainable evaluation of the developed systems. The fellow will also be responsible for: (i) coordinating research and development activities associated with the different tasks of the project; (ii) supporting the scientific and operational management of the research teams; (iii) supervising master's and doctoral students integrated into the project; (iv) plan, monitor and validate experimental activities and pilot studies; (v) coordinate data collection, processing and analysis processes; (vi) ensure the integration and validation of prototypes and technological solutions; (vii) contribute to the preparation of technical, scientific and deliverable project reports; (viii) support the preparation of scientific publications and coordinate new research project applications; (ix) promote dissemination activities, knowledge transfer and articulation with institutional and business partners; (x) collaborate in data management, good research practices and compliance with ethical and scie Annuncio in inglese.
